BCSC eLearning Days
BCSC will have an eLearning day starting on the 6th snow day of the school year or any cancellation after Spring Break.
Why?
1. It eliminates added days at the end of the year where we lose seniors, families that have already made plans, etc.
2. It allows us to have continuous instruction throughout the winter to maintain momentum through snow days.
3. It prepares our students to learn from new and innovative technology.
What?
Students and teachers will interact virtually to learn new material, complete valuable assessments, and interact online. Teachers will have the flexibility to adjust to all of BCSC's students needs to make sure everyone will have a meaningful learning experience.
How?
BCSC has implemented 1:1 devices in grades 1-12 and 1:3 device ratio in Kindergarten. Students in Kindergarten have iPads, 1-8 grade students have Chromebooks, and 9-12 grade students have laptops.
BCSC has adopted itslearning as a corporation wide learning management system (LMS). This platform allows teachers and students to interact online. The LMS will allow teachers to post information, assess students with a variety of tools, and will allow for communication between students and the teacher.
Teachers will have lessons up by 9 am and will have office hours from 9 am to 3 pm.
